Trail Overview

The Old Monashee Highway was the original route of travel way back in the prospector days which has grown in and no longer required once they built the highway way back. There were some steep sections on the downhill side of the route and a number of switchbacks. To take this route back in the day would have been an interesting trek.

Difficulty

Road is not particularly rough but there are steep switchbacks and ledges to travel along that have some signs of washouts or deteriation. Tight tree clearances in sections will scratch your rig along the way.
