Difficulty

Although this is a single-track backroad, conditions can vary dramatically. Expect deep ruts and large puddles, especially after rainfall. The trail is most accessible in dry summer months. A high-clearance 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended for a safe and enjoyable trip.

Access Description

From Highway 20, head south on Big Creek Road. Follow signs for Taseko Lake Road, which winds toward Chilko Lake Provincial Park. Partway along, look for a marked side road--this is the beginning of the Nemiah Valley Road route.Important: A permit is required to access this region. It falls within the territory of the Xeni Gwet'in First Nations Government. Refer to the attached photos for details and contact information.
