Trail Overview
This is a very scenic drive through the Rocky Mountains. The track is fairly tame with several steep climbs/descents with ledges, and a few sections of sharp rocks to watch out for. You could spend a couple of hours on the drive, or a couple of days exploring this gate way to a vast wilderness.

Difficulty
The most difficult section of the trail is a steep climb/descent approx 300 meters long. At the highest point of the climb are some rock shelves that can be a fun obstacle. It is wide so you can choose your own adventure, from fairly tame, to large rock ledges. Most of the East side of the trail has been graded out to make easy snow grooming for the winter months, but the West side of the cabin still has nice climbs with ledges and steps. If you are looking for the most challenging route, enter from the West and head East. This direction will offer more challenging climbs, with a nice soft descent down into Elkford. If you are looking for an easier route, enter from the East and head West. This direction will provide a nice easy climb with one technical climb, and then some easy ledges to navigate down over.
