Lava Butte Loop

Easy trail. Started to the South. There was 1 dry creek crossing near the north exit, I had my passenger spot for. Exiting through the north staging area was a cool climb; had plenty of clearance in a stock Colorado trail boss.

Large staging area(s). Had a GMC Sierra pulling a 16' trailer. two Can Am ATV' s, an 850 max xp and 700 max dps. light rain all day kept the dust away. trail was smooth in first 1/3 and able to really open up the machines , then turned more technical and rocky with a lot of sXs dig out making an ATV rider have to negotiate which side is best. lots of curves and hills up to the powerline towers then down through narrow rock formations. Trail winds down to some new construction areas and a cool patch along some water, but don't think we were allowed there. Overall fun and good trail for honing riding skills than a scenic trip. note had to buy pass for lake mead.
