This well-maintained gravel road follows along the Big Salt Marsh in Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. It consists of around 22,000 acres of a rare inland salt marsh and sand prairie. The area is used by over 300 species of migratory and resident birds and waterfowl. You will see plenty of wildlife, and in the winter months, eagles will be nesting in the area as well. The Refuge is open 1.5 hours before sunrise and closes 1.5 hours after sunset.
