Camp Marion - FS 9N34

Trail Overview

This is a great little area with two campsites off of it. The first one has bathrooms and fire pits/picnic tables and is very quiet, shady, and relaxed; the second, larger one at the top is much bigger, no toilets, but the view at the edge of it of Bakersfield is unmatched in the area. Super cool vibe at both of them. There is another trail further up the mountain in either direction, but most come just for the campground. My favorite place in the area to relax.

Difficulty

This road is pretty easy considering the payoff. A few very small bumps and washes that are easy to cross, with a short rocky shelf section between the two campgrounds. I have seen a few trailer campers at the top and wouldn't worry about towing one there for a great retreat from the more common campgrounds in the area.
