Trail Overview

15EV26 is a wide dirt ATV trail that starts from the north end with a steep descent into the tall sugar pine trees. There are bits of loose rock in the trail, and a couple narrow spots between logs that have been cut, but no major obstacles. The grade mellows out after the initial descent, and it gradually curves through the trees, which are widely separated giving you good visibility. Expect some dips, bumps, and sharper corners through the shrubs, a few deeper ruts, and fun banked corners. Near the south end it starts climbing up again, but more gradually, with a few small roots in the path. It reconnects with FS 5N52 on the west end. This is overall a fun and easy ATV route that is near the staging area, and makes a good option for newer or younger riders, or as a good warm up to your ride through the trail system.

Access Description

The Interface OHV Trail System is located in the Stanislaus National Forest near the town of Arnold, California. To get here, go north of Highway 4 towards the community of White Pines and White Pines Lake. Go past the White Pines day use area, and continue onto FS 7N08, which will take you directly to the staging area. This recreation area has ample parking, porta potties, and several primitive camp spots with picnic tables. There are more camp spots and staging areas along FS 5N52. The trails here are open from April 15 - December 15, but it gets very dry and dusty here in the summer, so spring and fall are the best times to visit.
