Trail Overview

Hidden Pond (FS 2607) is a natural dirt and gravel forest service road within the Potosi Unit of Mark Twain National Forest. The road begins at Berryman Road and the upper ridge it rests on, heading northwest, going downhill, featuring loose coarse gravel, natural cobbles, and erosion-ruts to the conclusion of the first hill, where it flattens out, crossing small water collection spots before dropping again into a valley with the lowest elevation of the track to cross more water collection spots and surface mud. The track climbs slightly back uphill to the final section, featuring a section of curves and small elevation changes, passing the FS 2607A spur road on the left before ending at a small opening to the right of the spur road entry. At this opening, the MVUM Sanctioned Road ends; users must turn around and head back out the way they came, or take the spur road to its legal motorized end, where use of the FS 2607 is still required to exit this two-trail network.
