Trail Overview

3Deer Creek has 2 sections: Deer Creek Road (FS 45560) and Deer Creek Spur Road (FS 45560A). This route begins on Lee Canyon Road (State Route 156) and heads South along Deer Creek. There is a parking area at Lee Canyon and Deer Creek Road, as well as a few other parking/camping spots in the first mile on the Lee Canyon end. This route is about 6 miles one way and dead-ends as it enters a wooded area. Deer Creek Road is mostly hard-packed and easy. The route then crosses a dry wash, which can be a bit hard to follow as monsoon rains constantly shift the wash. Deer Creek Spur Road continues on the East side of the Deer Creek wash and heads up a different, smaller wash to the East of Deer Creek. The trail continues up this wash for about 3 miles and dead ends. Deer Creek Road also continues another mile South past the intersection of Deer Creek Spur Road on the West side of Deer Creek before it dead ends.
