Casa Piedra Road is a scenic desert road on the west side of the Big Bend Ranch region that cuts through private land before connecting to the park. The route offers wide open views of the Chihuahuan Desert with long stretches of gravel and hard-packed terrain. It serves as a key access road, linking the main highway to additional trails on the northwestern side of the park.

On this road, you'll find a mostly smooth gravel and hard-packed surface with occasional loose rock, washboard sections, and minor uneven areas. In dry conditions, it's easy to drive with consistent traction. After rain, sections can become slick with mud or soft spots, especially in low-lying areas. There are no tight or technical features. Overall, this road remains easy with minor increases in difficulty during wet conditions.
