Trail Overview
This trail begins at the intersection near the Army Ranger Base, across from Mt. Zion Baptist Church (34.62794, -84.10149). The church parking lot offers some parking opportunities for loading and offloading vehicles. There are a few switchbacks along the trail, and most of the terrain consists of dirt and gravel. In a few sections, you will see a nice mountain stream with dispersed camping sites. All experience levels should feel comfortable on this trail, making it a great family day trip if paired with other trails. If you continue north, you will come to a junction near 34.6532, -84.08447 that opens up to other trail opportunities.
