Trail Overview
This is an out-and-back trail that follows an easy, mostly single-lane gravel and dirt road. The route is generally well-maintained and travels through scenic sections of the Chattahoochee National Forest before continuing toward the area near Tallulah Gorge State Park. Along the way, you may encounter a few minor washouts and small water puddles typical of Forest Service roads, but there are no significant obstacles, and most vehicles should be able to travel the road without difficulty. Just over halfway along the route, you will come to a fork; be sure to stay to the right in order to remain on Forest Service Road 182. The area is quiet and remote, with limited traffic and natural surroundings that make for a pleasant drive or exploration. Cell phone service can be sporadic or unavailable in places, so it is a good idea to plan ahead and bring anything you might need in case of an emergency.
