The Top Off-Road Parks in the US

No matter what type of off-roading you enjoy—one, two, or four wheels—it’s always a good idea to confirm whether a recreation area is legal. One way to be sure is to locate and utilize off-road parks, also known as Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) parks, that are dedicated locations for off-road enthusiasts to enjoy unfettered access to backroads, two-track, singletrack trails—from mud to rocks—without having to be on the lookout for cyclists, hikers, and other non-motorized recreationists.

OHV parks feature trails for motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and 4X4s. They often include designated camping areas and amenities for overnight and multi-day trips, an excellent option for worry-free recreation and year-round accessibility. Advantages include a safer environment thanks to signage and marked trails; onsite picnic areas, restrooms, campgrounds, and a variety of terrain in one location. With trails for beginners and experts alike, off-road parks are an ideal place to hone and improve off-road skills without any legal repercussions as long as one follows park rules.
