Our partnership grants club leadership and a designated Trail Mapper free access to onX Offroad Elite. As a participating club, you can act as admins for your local trail networks, deciding what should and shouldn’t be on the map, and generating income through mapping 4×4 trails and revenue sharing.

Trail Mapping

onX strives to provide the most reliable and comprehensive maps possible to enthusiasts, which is why our new partnership includes an opportunity for each Cal4Wheel club to nominate a map leader to become a “Trail Guide” for onX Offroad. This allows your club to act as Admins for your local trail network, empowering you to update existing trails on the map, add new trails onX doesn’t have, and remove trails that are closed or illegal. By providing better information on more trails to the community, we can not only keep people legal but help disperse impact from our most popular routes while preventing lesser-known trails from being forgotten and closed.

Free Memberships
Clubs that nominate a Trail Guide will receive a Free onX Offroad Elite membership for the Trail Guide and Club leaders, along with a cash stipend paid to Trail Guides for each new or updated trail submission they make to help cover the costs of going off-road!
Sponsored Trails
You can put your club name and information on any trails that are updated or added by your team. That way, onX customers can know who maps and maintains the trail and how to look you up and join the club if they desire.
Trip Planning + Sharing
Clubs using onX will have major benefits for planning trail runs and events. Instead of trying to answer questions about a trail’s difficulty and giving people proper directions, onX enables us to easily share a trail link that includes difficulty, time, description, photos, and current and forecasted weather with just a tap on the map.

Revenue Sharing + Discounts
for all Cal4Wheel Members

A primary goal of this partnership is to generate money for the Cal4Wheel Fund to sponsor trail maintenance, stewardship, and the fight for access, while also providing a community benefit to Cal4Wheel clubs. We can do this by helping to get more Cal4Wheel members and our communities into onX Offroad.

onX has set up a system where anyone using the code CAL4WHEEL during checkout will not only get 20% off of their app purchase, but onX will also donate an additional 20% to the Cal4Wheel Foundation. The more people who participate, the more money goes back to our foundation to execute on-the-ground efforts for trail maintenance and improvements, run cleanups, and promote land and trail access.
