Thank you for your interest in onX Backcountry’s 2022 #ExploreAndRestore Challenge, and an extra thank you to all those who participated.

During the month of June we challenged you to get up, get out, and go restore the places you love and to share the experience on your Instagram feed. The four winners of the challenge—two individuals and two organizations—have been chosen. Each of the four winners selected a local trail organization to receive a $2,500 grant donated by onX Backcountry. We’re proud to announce our winners of the #ExploreAndRestore Challenge.

Each winner selected the following trail organizations to receive the grant, which will go towards supporting the trail organization’s stewardship programs:

1. Meaghan Jennings (Colorado) – Colorado Fourteeners Initiative

2. Terrie Arnold (California) – Solano Land Trust

3. Oboz Footwear (Montana) – grant split between Gallatin Valley Land Trust + Continental Divide Coalition

4. Sage Trail Alliance (California) – Sage Trail Alliance

Explore and Restore The Great Outdoors

During Great Outdoors Month, we helped raise funds to support Leave No Trace and their Hot Spot education and national restoration programs. From its well-known Seven Principles to on-the-ground events, Leave No Trace has been at the forefront of outdoor stewardship for over two decades.
