The trails along this route are easy, but there are a few optional challenging off-road sections suitable for experienced off-roaders. Trails like Sandstone Canyon with its narrow passages is a must see. While many sections along this Rugged Adventure Route are accessible in stock 4WD vehicles, some areas require high clearance and oversized tires. There are some deep sandy areas and you should come prepared with suitable equipment and recovery gear.
Family & Pet Friendliness

However, some rugged areas and narrow canyons may not be suitable for young children or pets and some of the hiking trails do not allow dogs. Always ensure pets are kept on a leash and monitored closely due to potential wildlife encounters, including rattlesnakes.
