Trail Overview
This route takes you through the northern area of the Pole Mountain unit of Medicine Bow National Forest between Laramie and Cheyenne and provides access to numerous dispersed campsites. It is a well-graded road consisting of dirt and decomposed granite sand with numerous bump rocks and water holes. The water holes may look intimidating and can certainly give your vehicle a nice red mud bath, but have a firm bottom with little plenty of traction.
Difficulty
Some erosion gulleys, a few larger rocks and some corners that may be a bit tight for larger vehicles give this trail it's rating. During dry conditions this trail will not require four wheel drive and would be passable by any high clearance vehicle.
