Trail Overview
Trail 24 is a half-mile, highly challenging descent intended for skilled riders. The south end begins with a rutted path that narrows between dense thickets before dropping steeply down a mountainside. The route features loose rock, embedded boulders, and natural ledges formed by rock layers--some up to 2-3 feet tall. In many sections, the trail is troughed below the forest floor. The loamy soil and exposed roots make traction difficult, especially when wet. If traveling south to north, riders will be descending the major obstacles, including a steep, blunt ledge near the bottom that requires technical precision, careful line choice, and momentum in the greasy soil.
