IR 172

Trail Overview

Trail 172 is a dirt bike-only singletrack that begins on the north end at the intersection with Trail 54, climbing a leaf-strewn, root-filled hillside. The ascent is technical, with loose boulders and embedded rock layers, and can become particularly slick when wet. Riders should expect downed trees or unexpected obstacles like large logs. The trail includes shelfy segments along the hillside and several sharp switchbacks before opening briefly into a wider section along the ridgeline. It finishes with a steep descent featuring loose rocks and ruts, ending at the intersection with Trails 50 and 52.
