Trail Overview
BM 182 is a challenging, technical single track in the Buffalo Mountain Trail System, beginning with a steep, rocky climb from the east end on a wide, shelfy path. It quickly narrows into proper singletrack along a ridgeline through lush forest, with loose and embedded rock that becomes extremely slick when wet. The trail features steep climbs and descents, tight ridge-line maneuvering, a rock garden with embedded boulders, roots, one-foot shelves, and downed logs. After crossing BM 48, it becomes even more demanding, with narrow side-hilling, tight switchbacks, and large rock shelves from embedded boulders--2 to 3 feet tall--both ascending and descending. A steep, root-filled descent rounds out this advanced trail.

Difficulty
This is an advanced single track with really big rock obstacles, including 3-foot tall shelves and drop-offs, slick roots, and steep hills up and down. This is ideal for advanced riders looking for a challenge, and wet conditions can make this even more difficult.
