Panorama Point Way is a rough trail with tight clearances and beautiful vistas. You need a Glen Canyon recreation area pass to use this trail. This trail lies just outside Canyonlands National Park. Take good maps and make sure you are following the rules and regulations. This is a harsh desert landscape. Take lots of water and sun protection. It is not advised to take this trail during rain or snowfall, which may make the route impassable. There is a campsite at the point which will accommodate three vehicles. There are no outhouses, water, or resources on this route. Trail use varies depending on the season, and the route is shared with hikers. The route is primarily solid rock and sand, with some brush and cactus along the trail. There are many obstacles in the first two miles of the trail, becoming more infrequent as you proceed. The vista at the point is incredible; take care not to get too close to the cliffs that surround this area. Enjoy the area and leave it unspoiled for the next traveler.
