Trail Overview
This trail starts looking wide open and easy, but quickly becomes a narrow shelf road overgrown with vegetation. Any full-size vehicles will get heavy pinstriping from this trail. Once you reach the switchbacks, the shelf road reveals itself as you climb up to the New Bullion Mine. Near the top, there is a parking area/campsite, and continuing from here gets steeper, with not much room to turn around at the very top. If you decide to park at the campsite, it is a short (but steep) hike to the remains of the New Bullion Mine. This mine focused mainly on lead and zinc, and there are several portals visible from the tailings pile, but they are now barred off, blocking entry.
