Savannah National Wildlife Refuge Scenic Drive

Trail Overview

This unique trail offers something a little different than your normal off-road trail. As you cruise at 5 MPH you will witness many species of birds, insects, and reptiles including the American Alligator as they are in their natural habitat. This Trail is a 5-mile one-way loop and is 20 minutes from downtown Savannah. Although this trail can be accessed by any highway vehicle, walking, or bicycling it is a great change of pace as you explore and well worth the time. Take a minute to enjoy nature and enjoy a quick bite to eat or just take in the breeze.

Quick drive through coastal marsh areas. Did not personally see any wildlife on this trek, but unique views nonetheless. As far as difficulty, a standard sedan could traverse this with ease, no clearance or 4WD needed.
