The Francis Marion National Forest, situated north of Charleston, South Carolina, bears the name of the Revolutionary War hero Francis Marion, who was dubbed the Swamp Fox by the British. It is nestled within the Middle Atlantic coastal forest ecoregion and is characterized by a subtropical coniferous forest. This route provides access between Witherbee RD and the South Carolina Adventure Route. This is a high-speed, well-maintained road that offers access between the middle of Little Hellhole Bay and pavement.
