Trail Overview

Trail 2D- A trail of the Rock Run Recreation Area. Trail 2D is an original trail to the park. It should be able to be traversed by anyone on a motorcycle, ATV, or SxS with some skill. At approximately 2/10th of a mile in length, this trail is part of the larger network in one of the rockier sections of the park. This trail is dirt and rocks on a grade and serves as a shortcut between the Outer Loop and Trail 2, or as an exit to leave the Outer Loop in one of the rockiest parts of the Outer Loop. You may encounter some washouts and rutting. It is a narrow trail, one vehicle wide. There are loose rocks and other obstacles on this trail. There is a large rock alongside Trail 2D in one location that would be a good stop to check the sites or have a snack. This trail is open to bikes, ATVs, and SxSs. The trail travels through a wooded location. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience riding it in both directions. Trail driven and documented in June 2025.

Difficulty

This is an uneven, rutted dirt trail with loose rocks and washes, and mud holes. There are some short, steep grades. The trail is one vehicle wide with limited places to pass.
