Trail Overview

Play Pond Path Green Trail - A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. Located at the Northern End of the park, Play Pond Path Green Trail should be able to be traversed by anyone with a motorcycle, ATV, or SxS with a little skill. At 7/10ths of a mile in length, it was built as part of the second phase of the park. One end starts at Coyote Pass Road, and the other end is at the Play Pond. This trail travels through mostly open meadows, but there are some areas in the woods. It offers a variety of terrain with embedded rocks, locations with loose rocks, ruts, hills, and flat sections. You may also encounter some mud in locations. Before you get to the play pond, you travel around three sides of a triangular-shaped pond, which offers a nice place to stop and hang out before traveling up a short hill to the Play Pond. There are some intersecting trails along Play Pond Path Green to include Rhino Loop and Hop Run. This trail is open to motorcycles, OHV, ATV, and SxSs. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience riding it both directions. Trail driven and documented in August 2025.
