The Mud Bog is located off Trail 3 and is a designated area for mud riding and challenging conditions. This area is one-way and should be ridden at a safe speed of 20 miles per hour or less. The mud in this area can be extremely thick, especially on the right side near the first turn, where clay-like mud is common and frequently causes riders to get stuck. This is an area where riders often get stuck--and sometimes even lose a shoe--so riding with caution, momentum, and a partner is strongly recommended. Turn two features a puddle at the bottom of a slanted hill, which leads into a straightaway of deep but passable puddles. Follow the three signs to Trail 1 Loop.

Depth and traction vary with weather, and some sections can be deceptively deep. The puddles in the Mud Bog area are rain-fed. In severe drought conditions, the Mud Bog may dry up.
