Trail Overview

High Oak - A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. High Oak is a new trail as of the Fall of 2025 because of the windmill project. It should be able to be traversed by most any rider on a motorcycle, ATV, or SxS. At 8/10ths of a mile in length, this trail is part of the larger network at Rock Run. High Oak parallels Golden Arch Trail Road and runs the high ground past a stand of oak trees. One end starts at the intersection of Golden Arch Trail and Golden Arch Trail Road, and the other end is at Kit Row. This is a dirt trail without many obstacles, though you may encounter some loose stones and standing water in certain locations. It is a narrow trail with ample places to pass in locations. This trail is open to bikes, ATVs, and SxSs. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience riding it both directions. Trail driven and documented in November 2025.
