Golden Arch Trail - The OG - A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. Golden Arch Trail is a long-standing trail of Rock Run Recreation, although it was heavily impacted as part of the windmill project in 2025, and many sections were replaced with the new Golden Arch Trail Road. It should be able to be traversed by most any rider on a motorcycle, ATV, or SxS with little skill. At approximately a half mile in length, this trail is part of the larger network at Rock Run. Golden Arch Trail - The OG is made up of a variety of surfaces, from small, embedded rocks to areas of loose rocks. There are some areas of standing water, with one being unassuming and almost 2 feet deep. It passes by the spare windmill blade storage area and the namesake "Golden Arch" structure from the past strip-mining days prior to Rock Run. It is both a narrow and wide trail in different areas, with ample places to pass in locations. This trail is open to bikes, ATVs, and SxSs. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience riding it both directions. Trail driven and documented in November 2025.

Difficulty

This is an uneven, rutted dirt trail with loose rocks and washes and minor mud holes, though one hole is deeper in one area. The trail is one vehicle wide with limited places to pass.
