Trail Overview
Gas Line Cut Off - A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. Located on the Northern End of the park, Gas Line Cut Off should be able to be traversed by anyone on a motorcycle, ATV, or SxS with some skill. It is just under 2/10th of a mile in length. Serving as a shortcut or alternate route from the Barrens 36 Connector Road to the Coal Haul Road, Gas Line Cut Off travels through the woods on a grade with a lot of embedded and loose rocks. You cross a small stream in one section, though there is no worry about the depth of the water. The embedded rocks will cause you to choose which line you are going to travel with the potential for bottoming out on lower machines. You will encounter loose stones and potential for rutting and changing conditions as well in locations. This trail is open to bikes, ATVs, and SxSs. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience riding it both directions. Trail driven and documented in July 2025.
