Trail Overview
Big Rock - A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. Big Rock is ranked Black and should be able to be transversed by any skilled rider on a dirt bike, ATV or SxS. This trail is one of the most moderate at the facility with steep grades and rockier terrain covering .7 miles. It is not recommended for beginners. The trail has an elevation gain of 305 feet and a loss of 153 feet. You will encounter a tighter trail with washouts in locations and various-sized rocks (18 inches or less). In a few locations, you will need to pick your line to avoid either rocks and/or washouts. It travels up and down short, steep grades, with turns at either end of the grade. Named after a few of the "big" rocks along the trail, this trail provides a variety of vistas and views, traveling mostly in the woods. You will encounter minimal standing water. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience riding in both directions.

Difficulty
You will encounter short steep grades with turns at both ends of the grade. The trail surface is loose dirt and rocks and there are some uneven rutted portions. There is minimal water or mud. There are some obstacles where you will need to pick your line. The majority of the trail is tight and only one SxS wide with areas to pull off to pass.
