Trail Overview

This trail is in the Ouachita Wildlife Management area. At 6.5 miles, be ready to spend a good one to two hours on the trail. This trail is very rough, with rocks varying in size from small to skid plate basher. Ground clearance is a plus on this trail. Some rock ledges exist up to around 12 inches. Bigger loose rock can be thrown out from under your vehicle tires. Some mud holes can be present, especially after rain. Downed trees can become obstacles, and steep cliffs can have falling rock, so be prepared. Most of this is very narrow. Pick a good line, and this trail is a lot of fun for the right vehicles.

Rough trail with large rocks and steep climbs with loose rocks. Don't attempt if it's wet/raining. Need at least 12+ inches of ground clearance. Was tough even for a stock Polaris General 1000 4x4

It's best to enter the north side of the trail off hwy 259. The first 3 miles of this end is the roughest, 4x4 low range is needed, and also airing down is a plus. Trail is grown up with brush in most areas on the first half, so possible pinstriping can happen.
