Trail Overview
You wouldn't know this road was even here without adventuring down some old gravel roads; it is packed full of history from the past. When you first approach a graveyard sits to your left that has been there for many, many years. As you start to travel down this narrow gravel road, you are filled with many views of Wayne National Forest. You will descend down a small hill that takes you back to a quiet pond, with the sound of water rushing out over a drop-off that comes out on the other side of the road, making its own waterfall form down the side of the hill. From there, it will start to turn into dirt ruts and forest. As the trail goes deeper into the forest, it becomes quieter, revealing the ruins of an old bridge where travelers once crossed when the road was still well used. Past the bridge, the route continues along the creek as it narrows and becomes slightly overgrown, eventually ending at a fast-moving, muddy creek where the bridge once stood, requiring a turnaround. Even though this is an easy trail, careful attention is needed to avoid deep holes and creek beds that can easily get a vehicle stuck.
