Trail Overview
This trail is a fun one even if it's a down-and-back short trip due to unmaintained roads and trees blocking one way. You first start by going into a small section of mud and ruts before you come up a very steep hill to climb. When you get to the top of the hill you will come up some old oil wells and split off to a road closed due to trees. There you will find some sharp switchbacks that take you into the pines. It's there you will find some more mud and spectacular views of Wayne national forest as you travel down the trail you will see plenty of rocks and cliffs overlooking the forest. You will keep descending deeper into the national forest. Once down that you will continue down the muddy trail until you come to a dead end with a giant oil drum and a wonderful lookout where you can see nothing but the woods for miles.
