Trail Overview
West Gate Road is a relatively well-maintained section of the Penn Mountain State Forest access roads. The trail can be muddy in spots and as always with trails in this region watch for fallen trees or limbs blocking the trail. This area is very susceptible to high winds whenever a weather front moves through. Always carry a saw to clear your path. The trail terminates at the T junction with East Gate Road. Watch for traffic coming downhill before pulling onto the trail in either direction.

Difficulty
There is not much in the way of trail obstacles to clear. The trail can be muddy at times with large puddles, but all have solid gravel bases.
