Trail Overview
The 1,623-acre Canacadea State Forest has a limited amount of development. The main access road is easily drivable but has some ruts due to rain runoff, so travel is about 10-15 mph slower. The unpaved public access road is not plowed in the winter. At the end of the southern road is a turnaround that allows multiple vehicle camping if you are in a group. Unmarked, unmaintained deer paths, old skid roads, and farm lanes are also available for exploring. Always check with DEC on rules and regulations for motorized and camping use. https://dec.ny.gov/places/canacadea-state-forest
