Trail Overview

Little High Rock Canyon is a mix of washboard and two-track trail that travels diagonally across to High Rock Canyon and Soldier's Meadow. This trail is a better choice for those wanting a more exciting experience to the High Rock Canyon Petroglyphs and Soldier's Meadow over the repetitive Soldier's Meadow Road. Look out for flocks of local Antelope that run in groups through the area as well as "The Little HighRockHilton" cabin just off the trail. Expect lots of soft washes and mud crossings depending on the time of the season.

Difficulty

A very season depending trail; during the dry parts of the year, the trail is very simple with uneven and rutted sections. During the wet parts of the year, expect numerous mud crossings ranging anywhere from 6"-18" deep. It is recommended to check trail conditions as well as weather forecasts to confirm wet and muddy conditions.
