Trail Overview
This route begins as a narrow gravel two track before transitioning into a more lightly traveled forest trail. Early sections are easy to follow, with a firm surface, light grass growth in the center, and scattered shallow puddles or damp spots depending on recent weather. As you continue, the road becomes more primitive and overgrown, with tighter tree cover and a natural leaf covered surface replacing the gravel. The final portion feels more remote, winding through dense woods with a narrower corridor and less maintenance. There are no major technical obstacles, but changing trail conditions and encroaching vegetation give this route a more adventurous feel than the entrance suggests.

Difficulty
This route is suitable for most high-clearance AWD and 4WD vehicles in dry conditions. The main challenges come from the narrowing trail width, light overgrowth, shallow puddles, and a less-maintained surface toward the end. There are no major rock obstacles, steep climbs, deep ruts, or technical sections shown.
History
Mark Twain National Forest was established in 1939 and spans large portions of southern Missouri. Many roads and routes through the forest originated as access roads for timber, land management, and rural travel, and today they provide access for recreation and outdoor exploration.
