Trail Overview
This route follows an easy gravel two-track through a quiet pine forest with light overgrowth along both sides and grass beginning to fill the center of the trail. While the corridor feels narrower than the main roads in the area, there are no major obstacles, technical sections, or difficult terrain to contend with. The surface remains generally smooth and suitable for most high clearance stock vehicles. The surrounding trees and brush give the drive a more secluded feel, making it a pleasant short spur to explore. At the end of the route, drivers will find a simple turnaround area before retracing the trail back the way they came.

Difficulty
This route is a straightforward gravel two-track with no major obstacles, steep climbs, deep ruts, or technical sections. Light overgrowth and grass in the center may narrow the trail slightly, but pinstriping risk appears minimal for most vehicles.
History
Mark Twain National Forest was established in 1939 and spans large portions of southern Missouri. Many roads and routes through the forest originated as access roads for timber, land management, and rural travel, and today they provide access for recreation and outdoor exploration.
