Trail Overview
Hidden Pond Spur A (FS 2607A) is a natural dirt and gravel forest service road within the Potosi Unit of Mark Twain National Forest. The Spur Road begins going south off the far western section of the FS 2607, just a couple of hundred feet before the main road's legal end. The Spur Road quickly narrows to a width smaller than that of the main road, featuring potential pinstriping and small fallen trees. First, the track drops downhill into the first short valley featuring a mostly dirt base with scattered coarse gravel, to then climb the central hill of the track, to drop into a second valley, before climbing a final hill to the opening marking the MVUM Sanctioned road ending, right along the Ozark Trail (hiking) where users can park and enjoy a hike or turn around and head back out the way they entered.

Difficulty
Hidden Pond Spur A is given a base rating of 1/10 for being a narrow dirt road with mild erosion and surface mud, small fallen trees, and potential small water collection spots. It is safe to expect potholes and other basic dirt road complications. Difficulty can increase in times of wet conditions, heavy use, and through a lack of maintenance. The difficulty could also decrease if the road were to be given a solid gravel surface throughout. Though it is not legally restricted, this trail is not advised for full-size use.
