History

The Turtle Ridge ORV park and wildlife preserve is located within the 190 acres of the Turtle Ridge boundaries. The park follows a high ridge on the eastern end of the Potagannissing Bay and is carved out of the island's natural limestone. Our ORV park does not require a state ORV permit. It is privately owned by the resort and not subject to state trail closures. You'll find the trails at Turtle Ridge to be some of the most scenic and rugged in Michigan. Many trails are set deep into the woods, while others lend themselves to extended rides, making it perfect for anyone willing to take on the challenge! Park Hours & Seasons: Dawn until dusk open year-round; however, trails are not plowed or groomed in the winter! For additional information, contact: 906-493-1000.
