Trail Overview
NFS 6213 is a seasonal bidirectional trail within the Manistee National Forest. Located just southeast of Baldwin, this trail is easily accessible. Starting on the west end at the Power in the Pines (NFS 6792) trail, you'll begin in a tight section of dense forest, with a lot of ground covering. As you weave down the trail, you'll feel immersed in nature, as the tall trees continue to thicken. PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY, and be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails! About halfway down the track, on the south side, private property starts. PLEASE STICK TO THE TRAIL, and be respectful of the local landowners. There are posted signs around the trail letting you know it's private property. As you continue along the trail, you may come across some washouts and/or mud holes. These typically aren't bad, but something to note. Like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Come prepared. During the mapping of this track, a large tree had covered the trail. This is an example of being prepared, so you can continue on your route down the trail. The tree was cut up and relocated off the track. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle, with very limited places to pass. There are a few sections where trees are leaning over the trail. This is not a difficult trail at all, but it contains a lot of natural beauty and gives access to other great trails nearby. The end of the trail finishes on Broadway Road. Regardless of the conditions, this is a great trail!
