Trail Overview

LP-4 is an off-road vehicle trail that can accommodate a wide range of vehicles, from large 4x4s to dirt bikes. The trail features a mix of sugar sand and hard pack terrain, interspersed with dense forests and open areas that have been cleared by recent logging. There are several scenic spots along the trail that offer great photo opportunities, as well as places to take breaks and rest. Keep an eye out for elk, as they are known to inhabit the area.

Trail is clear with some trees you might have to avoid if you’re driving a vehicle or side by side. The 50” trails in the area, still need to be cleared of trees.

Access Description

The Hillman trail parking area is situated on Pine Oaks Road. Begin by heading north on State Street in Hillman. Then, take a left onto Pleasant Valley Road. Continue driving for approximately 3 miles. Afterward, turn right onto Pine Oaks Road. Drive for another mile or so until you reach the corner, where you'll find the trail parking lot. It will be on the left-hand side. You can also access this trail from the LP-4 and 9 trails.
