Trail Overview
This is a fun trail through the Roscommon Forest Management Unit. You will see evergreen and hardwood trees and plenty of wildlife. It's a curvy dirt two-track out-and-back trail with several mud/water holes that will vary in depth based on recent weather and spring thaw, but they should not present a problem for the typical 4x4 vehicle. You will also encounter a few sandy spots along the trail. There are a few clearings that would be great for camping or picnics. At the Grass Lake Road end, you will find a staging area if you need it. The trail ends with a nice area to explore a stream and its associated wetlands. There are several small spurs along the trail that you can explore as well. The trail is a single vehicle wide, but you should have no issues passing oncoming traffic.
