H9-4 Sand Lake, a 50-inch trail, traverses parts of the Huron National Forest. The trail is predominantly sandy and is flanked by dense forests, interspersed with clearings. There are long, winding corners along with some big, straightaways. To fully appreciate this trail, it's recommended to travel in both directions.

Access Description

Heading west on M-55, turn right onto Sand Lake Road. Follow this for about 3 miles. Then, turn left onto Indian Lake Road. Continue for about 1.5 miles. Finally, turn left onto Vaughn Road. Drive for about half a mile. The trailhead is on the right.
