Trail Overview

Grass Lake/DD Loop or Double D is an ORV trail. It is tight in some spots with a possibility of deep water and mud. The Grass Lake area can be very wet in the spring so be careful and don't wheel alone. This trail turns off before you enter Tight Twistie so this can be your best option if you don't like deep mud.

When we went in the trail, there were two water crossings. In the springtime, they are lakes. The northern water crossing is at 46.00112, -83.59498. The South lake is at 45.99850, -83.60719. The trail winding through the lakes are well marked with boulders and tracks along the bottom. The trail between the water crossings meanders through a forest along a narrow trail. South of Lincoln road, the trail is one lane but winds through open forest with areas to pull off or pass.
