Trail Overview
Glenn West Trail is an adventurous and fun bidirectional road within the Waterloo State Recreation Area. Located just off Highway 94, this trail is easily accessible. Starting from the West end, you'll start on a smooth dirt road that leads into some lush trees on a dirt/gravel road. This area is abundant with thriving plant life that's worth checking out. As you work your way East on this trail, you will come across several areas that the Waterloo Pinckney hiking trail kicks out. Towards the end of the trail, you will see a Grassland Habitat Development Area. Please TREAD LIGHTLY so future generations can enjoy these public spaces. Only Highway Legal vehicles are permitted on this trail. Like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Always Come Prepared! This is not a difficult trail at all, but it contains a lot of fun and beauty, and gives access to other great trails nearby. The East end of the trail finishes at the Glenn East Trail. This is a fantastic route to explore with a lot of fun to be had!
