Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 9837 is an exciting and tight 4x4 route that offers more challenging terrain than many other trails in the area. The northern end of the trail is accessed off North 9 Road, and about 0.8 miles in, you'll encounter a fork in the road. Here, you can either continue straight or veer left to stay on the main route, which eventually leads to FS 7518 at the southern end. The route begins by winding through dense, towering forests where the trail narrows considerably. Along the way, you'll need to navigate or carefully avoid numerous deadfall trees, adding an extra level of challenge and requiring some skillful maneuvering. This rugged section through the woods offers an immersive off-road experience. As you progress southward, the trail gradually opens up and eventually leads to a stunning grassy clearing. This peaceful meadow provides a striking contrast to the tight forested sections earlier on. Due to the cell coverage in the area, making sure you have downloaded offline maps will be a useful tool.

Difficulty
There isn't one standout obstacle along this route, but due to the deadfall and terrain change, this trail can be difficult for some rigs. Be cautious, full-size rigs may want to avoid this route.
