FS 7817

Trail Overview

This trail, like FS 5411, is a narrow dirt single-lane trail with branches constantly leaning over to scratch the vehicle. Forest Service Road 7817 begins off of FS 5583, which begins at East 10 Mile Road and winds through another CCC forest, with deciduous trees interspersed after the past logging. The trail has no big mud puddles and might only have some washes after a rainstorm. FS 7817 runs east to west, ending at Saddler Road, where FS 5411 intersects right across the road. FS 7817 is narrow with limited places to pass or pull off. This is another beautiful northern Michigan forest trail.
