Carlson Camp is a seasonal road that welcomes vehicles of all types and sizes, from large 4x4s to dirt bikes. The road is predominantly made of dirt and gravel and is surrounded by dense forests. It features numerous twists and turns, along with some hills. This road provides access to Bass Lake State Park, an excellent place to stay and an ORV-friendly destination. Additionally, it offers access to the Silver Creek Birding Trail, which has several checkpoints along the way. Most of this road lies within Luce County and is designated as 455 in that county.

Access Description

Coming out of Newberry on US Highway 123, follow this for about 4 miles and then turn left onto Deer Park Road. Follow for about 4 miles and take another left onto County Road 455 (Carlson Camp). It's pavement for about a mile until it turns to dirt.
